Storm damage and insurance

Someone on your side of the claim.

We inspect and document the damage, meet with your adjuster, and help make sure the scope reflects what your home needs.

  1. Inspect and document

We go over the roof and exterior and photograph every sign of damage, so you know what you are dealing with.

  2. Meet your adjuster

We are at the house when the insurance adjuster comes out and point out the damage we documented, so it is seen firsthand.

  3. Review the scope

We go through your insurer’s scope of work with you and explain anything that does not match what your home needs.

  4. Build and walk through

Once the scope is final, we do the work and walk the finished job with you.

Your insurance company decides what is covered. Our job is to make sure the damage is documented and that you understand the scope before work begins.

Questions homeowners ask

Before you call

Straight answers to the questions we hear most. If yours is not here, ask when you reach out.

Will my homeowners insurance pay for a new roof?

It depends on your policy and what caused the damage, and only your insurance company can decide that. Policies generally respond to sudden damage from wind, hail, or a fallen limb, not to normal wear and age. We will inspect the roof, show you what we find, and tell you plainly whether it looks like storm damage.

Should I call my insurance company or a roofer first?

Check your policy first, because many require you to report damage promptly. A lot of homeowners have the roof inspected before they file, so they know what they are reporting. Either way, we can pick up from wherever you are in the process.

What happens after I reach out?

We follow up to set a time to look at the house. After the visit, we walk you through what we found and what we would recommend, so you can decide on your own schedule.

Where do you work?

Lancaster County and surrounding areas. For the right project we will travel farther, so if you are not sure, ask.
